About the PCA

The Parliamentary Candidates Association exists to be the voice of Liberal Democrat candidates. The PCA aims to attract, encourage and sustain a talented team of parliamentary candidates for Westminster, European, Scottish parliaments and Welsh assembly elections.

The PCA aims to equip individuals with the skills to become approved Liberal Democrat candidates, get selected, win elections and, not least, to be key members of existing and future Liberal Democrats ruling groups and governments.

The PCA provides support, advice, training and briefing for all approved candidates. It organises conferences on party policy and media relations and works closely with the Liberal Democrat Candidates' Office to provide publications and training.

The PCA also represents the interests of candidates on internal party committees, organises regular briefings in Westminster, an annual reception and events at the Party's federal conferences.

Members (£25 pa) receive up to eight issues of “Parliamentary Campaigner” each year along with other privileges.
